Hauz Khaz Village

Walked around this area called Hauz Khaz Village this afternoon. It's a fun little area to walk around. So many shops to see!
ハウスカズ・ヴィレッジというエリアを探索してきました。プラプラ歩くには楽しい場所で、いろんなお店がありました！

昔のポスターとか本を売っているお店もたくさんある！





This place had so many old, dusty, fun things to see.
このお店は古くてホコリっぽくて、おもしろい物がたくさんあった。





many collections of old phones..　really cool!
ふるい電話機のコレクション... かっこいい！

The man at the shop told me this phone works as good as new.
お店のおじさん、この電話はぜんぜん問題なく使えるって言ってた。


and here too, a whole bunch of old Bollywood film posters. I love the use of colors in their posters and the retro feel of it!
ここにも昔のボリウッド映画のポスターがたくさんあった。ポスターの色使いやレトロな感じがお気に入り！

Lunch at work

Unlike the Tokyo office where there are many places to eat out for lunch, people here at work usually bring their own from home or order-in. I shared 3 kinds of curry, rice, naan, and chapati with 3 people. It only cost 50 rupees /100 yen per person.
外でランチを食べるところがたくさんある東京オフィスとちがって、こっちのオフィスの人たちは家からお弁当をもってくるか、出前をたのんでます。この日は３種類のカレー、ライス、ナンとチャパティを３人で頼んで分けました。お腹いっぱい食べてもランチ代、1人100円もしなかった。

Monsoon

The weather had been nice with only occasional showers since I got to Delhi and they say it's monsoon season. But the rainfall and thunder that lasted for about an hour this afternoon really felt like monsoon!
モンスーンの季節だと言われているのにデリーに来てからの天気はたまに雨がシトシト降る程度で比較的よかった。でも午後に１時間くらい降った雨は雷と一緒にバケツから水をひっくり返したようで本当にモンスーンな感じだった！

Here's just a few more addition to the Delhi office photos.
This is the studio space, just opposite of where the reception entrance is.
デリーオフィスの写真をもう少し追加。これはスタジオで受付の入り口のちょうど真向かえにある。

向こう側に見えるのが赤い木馬がある受付。

And here's a little meeting room next to the studio. I love the navy dining table and chairs, and Dan's portrait on the wall!
ここはスタジオの隣にあるちょっとしたミーティングルーム。紺色のダイニングテーブル＆イス、そしてダンワイデンの肖像画がかわいい！


These portraits of the staffs are painted by an artist in Rajasthan. I love them!
スタッフの肖像画はラジャスタン州にいるアーティストが描いたそう。すごくいい！

M-Block Market

There's a market called M-block market near by the apartment. Here are some photos of what I found.
アパートからほど近くM-ブロックマーケットがあって、その様子を撮ってきました。





They even have KUMON in India! I liked how the logo was hand painted :)
KUMONがインドにもあったの知らなかった！手描きのロゴがかわいかったー

This supermarket was like Precce or Seijyo Ishii of Delhi. They had every kind of imported food that I'm used to seeing back in Tokyo. Prices are expensive like or more than in Tokyo.
このスーパーはデリーのプレッセとか成城石井みたいだった。東京でも見慣れた輸入食品がいろいろと置いてあった。価格も東京並かそれ以上に高い。




They had a corner of Japanese food too!

Khan Market

There's a shopping area called Khan Market about 25 min ride away from the apartment where I stay. I've read somewhere that it is like Ginza of Tokyo so I had to go see what it was like!
滞在先のアパートから車で25分ほど離れたところにカーンマーケットというショッピングエリアがあります。東京の銀座みたいな所だ、とどこかで読んだのでそれはまず見に行かねばと行ってきました！


humm... Ginza. There are many shops and tourists, and I saw some Japanese so I guess it is somewhat like Ginza of New Delhi.
うーん、銀座。お店はたくさんあって観光客や日本人も見かけたのでなんとなくデリーの銀座っぽいのかな。

And this market also has my favorite shop the Good Earth I found the other day!
そして以前に見つけたお気に入りのお店がこのマーケットにもありました！



They have really nice stuff but the prices are very high like Tokyo. This is like Ginza.
とてもステキな品がいっぱいあるけれど、価格は東京並みで高い。ここは銀座みたい。

On the top floor is this really nice cafe restaurant.
最上階にはこんなにステキなカフェレストランがある。

And back to the market outside. Here, a more local section.
さて、また外のマーケットに戻って。ここはもう少しローカルなセクション。
