Good bye New Delhi!

So my (just about) 3 months stay in India ended. Did it go by fast or slow? I'm not quite sure. 3 months would fly by fast in Tokyo but I felt it was somewhat long in Delhi. And at the same time, although my visit to India was specific for work which ended short, I wish I had more time to explore different parts of Delhi and India. Someone at the office once told me it will take 10 years or more to travel around and get to know the whole of India. I guess that's true. I am not sure when my next visit to India, whether for work or vacation will be, but I think it is a country that I will eventually return again. But for now, I want to enjoy some Japanese food, take long baths, do proper laundry and settle back in my life in Tokyo. It's good to be back home!

という事で、（だいたい）３ヶ月のインド滞在が終わりました。早く過ぎたか、遅かったか、、どうだっただろう。東京で過ごす３ヶ月は早く過ぎてしまうけれど、デリーではそこそこ長く感じたように思います。と言いつつも、今回は仕事で滞在しましたが帰国が予定よりも早かったのでもう少しデリーやインドを見て知る時間があってもよかったのにと思っています。ある日、オフィスにいる人がインドを知るには１０年もしくはそれ以上かかる、と話していました。本当にそう思います。仕事でもバケーションでも、またいつインドに訪れるかは分からないけれどこの国へはまたいつか行くだろう、と思っています。でもとりあえず、今は久々の和食を食べて、お風呂に浸かって、ちゃんと洗濯をして、東京の生活に落ち着きたいです。家に帰ってホッとしています!

Amber Fort Details

How can I go without showing the details of this amazing palace! When I first saw the entrance I just couldn't believe that this was just the entrance and there were more inside to see. And to think that it took 2 centuries to complete... What they made is just so breathtaking. I found so many inspirational patterns just by walking around.
こんなにステキなお城のディテールを紹介しないわけにはいかない！始めて宮殿の入り口を見たときにこれが入り口でまだこの先にもっとあるとは考えられなかったくらい。２世紀もかけてすべて仕上げたと考えると、、、本当に言葉を失うくらいすごいものを作ったんだなぁと思った。とにかく歩いてるだけでインスピレーションをもらえるようなパターンをたくさん見つけました。

This room covered in thousands of tiny mirrors in mosaic pattern are just again so stunning!
この部屋は数えきれないほど小さな鏡でモザイクのように埋め尽くされて、ほんとうに見事! キラキラ好きな女子にはたまらないと思う！

This room was very simple compared to the other decorative works but I really liked it. Repeated patterns of jars and vases in very simple colors. Nice.
この部屋は他の豪華なデザインとくらべてずいぶんシンプルだけれど、けっこう気に入りました。シンプルな色使いのつぼや花瓶の繰り返し。いい感じ。
