Good bye New Delhi!
So my (just about) 3 months stay in India ended. Did it go by fast or slow? I'm not quite sure. 3 months would fly by fast in Tokyo but I felt it was somewhat long in Delhi. And at the same time, although my visit to India was specific for work which ended short, I wish I had more time to explore different parts of Delhi and India. Someone at the office once told me it will take 10 years or more to travel around and get to know the whole of India. I guess that's true. I am not sure when my next visit to India, whether for work or vacation will be, but I think it is a country that I will eventually return again. But for now, I want to enjoy some Japanese food, take long baths, do proper laundry and settle back in my life in Tokyo. It's good to be back home!
という事で、（だいたい）３ヶ月のインド滞在が終わりました。早く過ぎたか、遅かったか、、どうだっただろう。東京で過ごす３ヶ月は早く過ぎてしまうけれど、デリーではそこそこ長く感じたように思います。と言いつつも、今回は仕事で滞在しましたが帰国が予定よりも早かったのでもう少しデリーやインドを見て知る時間があってもよかったのにと思っています。ある日、オフィスにいる人がインドを知るには１０年もしくはそれ以上かかる、と話していました。本当にそう思います。仕事でもバケーションでも、またいつインドに訪れるかは分からないけれどこの国へはまたいつか行くだろう、と思っています。でもとりあえず、今は久々の和食を食べて、お風呂に浸かって、ちゃんと洗濯をして、東京の生活に落ち着きたいです。家に帰ってホッとしています!

香港経由で帰国

成田空港に無事着陸！
という事で、（だいたい）３ヶ月のインド滞在が終わりました。早く過ぎたか、遅かったか、、どうだっただろう。東京で過ごす３ヶ月は早く過ぎてしまうけれど、デリーではそこそこ長く感じたように思います。と言いつつも、今回は仕事で滞在しましたが帰国が予定よりも早かったのでもう少しデリーやインドを見て知る時間があってもよかったのにと思っています。ある日、オフィスにいる人がインドを知るには１０年もしくはそれ以上かかる、と話していました。本当にそう思います。仕事でもバケーションでも、またいつインドに訪れるかは分からないけれどこの国へはまたいつか行くだろう、と思っています。でもとりあえず、今は久々の和食を食べて、お風呂に浸かって、ちゃんと洗濯をして、東京の生活に落ち着きたいです。家に帰ってホッとしています!

Packing up and last dinner
This is a sudden post but my situation at work had changed and I'll be heading back to Tokyo just a little sooner than originally planned! So here I am, all ready and packed up to take the flight back home. I started this blog to share my experiences and photographs during my stay in India and I hope that you enjoyed it. I'll continue to post this blog with a few more post with some images after I return so I hope that you can still check it out a little longer...
ちょっと突然のポストですが仕事の状況が変わって予定より早く東京に戻ることになりました！という事でさっそく帰国の準備のパッキングです。このブログはインド滞在中の体験や写真をみなさんにシェアしたいと思って始めました。これまで楽しんでもらえてたらうれしいです！帰国後にあと数回ブログをアップデートすると思いますので、もう少し続けてみてください。
And this is my last meal at the apartment. Thanks for cooking and cleaning Bashir!
そしてこれでアパートでの最後の食事。バシール、いままで料理とお掃除をしてくれてありがとう！

Gunpowder
There's a south Indian food restaurant at Hauz Khas Village called Gunpowder. Good food!
ハウズカスヴィレッジにGunpowderという南インドレストランがあります。とってもおいしかった！
It's hard to find this restaurant but when you go up the top floor of the building, you'll get to see a really great view of the lake.
ちょっと分かりにくい所にありますが、建物の最上階までのぼって行くと湖がみえて景色がよかったです。

建物のすぐ外に犬がまた寝ていた

Hard working bicycles
Bicycles and tricycle wagons in India are always hard at work. Always carrying the heaviest, longest, tallest, biggest mass of... something to somewhere.
インドの自転車や三輪車ワゴンはとにかく働き者。いつも重くて、やたら長くて、高くて、大きい何かをどこかに運んでいる。

Adventure to the post office
It all begins from FANCY CLOTH HOUSE...
すべてはここファンシー・クロス・ハウスから始まる...
In India, sending a package from the post office begins with a visit to the fabric shop. Packages are to be wrapped in white cloth and tightly stitched. It took me a few rounds of visits to the post office (and befriend the workers!) to master the art of sending a package in one-go. Really! Until then I had to start from finding out where the closest post office is, learning the right fabric, searching for a fabric store and asking the right person to stitch the package. And if the stitching or the fabric is bad, it needs to be done over again. (Hence another visit to the fabric shop and back to the post office) So after learning all the right processes, here's the successful journey of my 2 packages to Japan from the India post office.
インドでは小包を郵便局で送る前に生地屋さんに行きます。発送する小包を白い布でくるんでしっかり縫い合わせないとならないのです。この発送プロセスを一回ですませるコツを学ぶのに、郵便局のおじさん達に顔を覚えられるまで何度も郵便局を訪ねました。そこに至までは、まずリキシャーに乗って近くの郵便局を探す事からはじまって、正しい生地の種類を覚えて、生地屋さんを探して、縫ってくれる人を探してお願いしてやっと発送の準備が完了。もし生地が弱かったり、縫い方が甘いとまたやり直し。（また生地屋さんと郵便局の往復）そうしてやっと正しいプロセスを学んで今回始めて失敗なく一度で日本までの小包をインドの郵便局から発送できた記録です。

やっと順番がきた！（30分くらい待ったあと）
Hope to see them again back home in Tokyo!
東京のお家でまた再会できますように！
After all this... PHEW! A full feeling of accomplishment!
