I didn't get the chance to go inside the Hawa Mahal this time, but it is pretty much an icon of the Pink City. It was built for the royal ladies to watch the every day life of the city from the small windows.
今回は風の宮殿に入る時間がなかったけれど、これはピンク・シティのアイコン的存在。ロイヤルファミリーの女性達が街の様子を小さい窓から見物できるように建てられたみたいです。

This is where the current Maharaja lives!
Here they also have the palace museum showing the collection of beautiful costumes of the Maharaja family. No photos were allowed in the museum but I took a lot of pictures around the palace.
この宮殿に今も現マハラジャが住んでるそう！
ここには博物館もあって、マハラジャの豪華な衣装や暮らしぶりを展示してありました。展示品の撮影はNGだったけれど、宮殿周辺の写真をたくさんとりました。

One of the Maharajas used the silver jars (there are 2 of them) and filled with the Ganges water to take when he traveled to England. Only a Maharaja can do such thing!
あるマハラジャはこの銀の瓶（二つある）にガンジス川の水を入れてイギリスへ行くときに一緒に持って行ったそう。マハラジャでなければこんな事できない！
Behind the pink walls, the yellow building is the residence of the current Maharaja.
ピンクの壁の後ろにある黄色い建物に現マハラジャが住んでいる。
JANTAR MANTAR ジャンタル・マンタル
Just near by the City Palace there is an observatory that one of the Maharajas made. Each one of these massive 'objects' are instruments that are scientifically designed and set, and said to provide fairly accurate information even after 280 years!
シティパレスのすぐ近くに天文学マニアだったマハラジャが建てた天文台がありました。この巨大なオブジェらしきもの、すべて科学的にデザインして設置してあるので280年たった現在でも観測に使われているそうです!
